Mallusk Integrated Primary School recently launched ‘Break the Rules Day’, which will take place on 24th May, in support of this year’s Q Radiothon.
Taking part in this exciting event allows your pupils to ‘Break The Rules’ for one day to support our four charities – Action Cancer, Cancer Fund for Children, Friends of the Cancer Centre and Marie-Curie. This innovative fundraiser is an opportunity for your pupils to ‘let their hair down’ and be mild rebels for the day– but be sure you choose which rules they are allowed to break in advance! And the main rule is that everyone has FUN whilst raising funds!
Pupils love seeing their teachers do something crazy too so why not get some of your teaching staff involved and getting sponsored to wear something wacky to school?
Susanne Kinsella, Principal of Mallusk Integrated Primary School was delighted that her school was chosen to launch this year’s campaign she says;
“We are delighted to be involved in ‘supervised’ rule breaking! Many people in our school family & the local community have been affected by Cancer. At Mallusk Intergated Primary, we encourage our pupils to make a difference in the world. The children will enjoy themselves breaking some rules, whilst being able to make a difference by helping to support services and research.”
By getting your school involved in this Break The Rules Day you will be helping support adults and children across Northern Ireland affected by cancer, life-limiting and terminal illness.
We will supply your school with a free fundraising pack, which can be downloaded here which has everything you need to make this as fun and streamlined an event is possible. All we ask is that pupils donate £1 per rule break towards the Q Radiothon appeal. If 24th May doesn’t suit your school you can ‘Break the Rules’ on a date of your choice, before the end of term.
